Pamela Lourant

"With a belief in an elegant, deeply felt, traditional flamenco and the hard work, perserverance and discipline needed to acheive her goals as an artist and as a teacher, Pamela Lourant is unique performer that will leave you breathless."

Pamela was born and raised in Santa Barbara, Ca where flamenco is a common form of dance amongst the local performing arts community. She began her professional training at the age of 17 performing during the city's flamenco festival.  With that feeling of accomplishment as well as the love and respect from the audience, she made it her goal to become the best she could be at her craft.

EARLY PROFESSIONAL CAREER

In 2003, Pamela was awarded the title of "Spirit of Fiesta" which made her the top flamenco dancer in all of Santa Barbara, an embassador to the city, and a representative of the growing dance community. Pamela is the first and only black/mexican american to win the title.

TRIPS TO SPAIN

In 2004 Pamela took her first trip to Spain. Traveling to Madrid, Sevilla and Jerez de la Frontera where she studied extensivley with the best artists of the day. They included: Maria del Mar Moreno, Maria Bermudez, Alejandro Granados, and others.

In October 2005, she made her way back to Madrid where she studied at the world famous AMOR DE DIOS School of Flamenco.
